Summary/Abstract: This article examines the dramatic changes in gas trade between Russia and the European Union since the beginning of Russian military aggression against Ukraine. The measures planned by the EU to overcome dependence on Gazprom, as well as Russia's counterattack through the almost complete suspension of gas supplies, are analyzed. A special place is devoted to Bulgaria and its separation from its almost monopoly supplier of gas.
