Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the migration trends in the EU in the last decade (2013 – 2020) – emigration and immigration. The net migration is then presented and analyzed in terms of its major economic and social consequences and its potential impact on the European labour market. For that purpose, migration and migrant population data from Eurostat are used to analyze the current state and perspectives on union and country level, as well as some projections and analytical reports regarding the labor force deficit in them.
