Summary/Abstract: The article analyses the amendments of Bulgarian Criminal Code and of the Law on Execution of Punishments made in 2002 and 2004. The new solutions are mentioned and the most radical amendments - the introduction of the punishment "probation" - is analysed. The new solutions in the penitentiary field are pointed out.
