Summary/Abstract: The role of digital technologies in the effectiveness of social causes is extremely important. However; along with the unlimited opportunities for publicity; the online environment creates an illusory sensation of civil activity. The debate about digital activity as “slacktivism” is particularly relevant nowadays. The article studies to what extent it can contribute to actual results from the perspective of a particular cause – the crisis of Amazonia
