Summary/Abstract: The economic impact of the coronavirus crisis varies from one industrial sector to another and from one enterprise to another. It depends on several factors, including the ability to adapt to supply chain disruptions, the existence of stocks or dependence on just-in-time production processes. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the activity of Romanian economic agents is, in fact, reflected in macroeconomic indicators: gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, industrial production index, retail volume index and tourism sector-specific indices.Through a process of induction, deduction, critical and comparative interpretation of studies and reports prepared at national and international level, we investigate the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic activities in Romania compared to the European Union to identify measures to relaunch economic activities, both nationally and internationally.
