Summary/Abstract: The instruments built by the international community in this area represent a significant direction and basis for the creation of appropriate mechanisms in the states individually and in the implementation of specific measures and activities at national level and for coordinated action on a wider global plan. The Republic of Macedonia, as a country that is not immune to the most sophisticated forms of crime, implementing the ratified international documents, sets a legal framework in which it provides for material and procedural provisions for the protection of witnesses from various types of threats.
