Summary/Abstract: Karen Duve’s book "Grrrimm" (published in 2012) comprises five fairy tales based on texts of the Brothers Grimm. An attempt is made to examine the specificity of these postmodern texts, such as the influence of the Grimms’ original, their “representation,” that is, their connection with the processes of social modernisation. Among the social problems mentioned are: atypical family relationships, sexuality and bizarre ideas of love.
