Summary/Abstract: The article is a short remembrance devoted to Wanda Półtawska MD – Polish psychiatrist, survivor of the Ravensbrück concentration camp, social activist and thinker, one of the closest friends of saint John Paul II. Dr Półtawska, who strongly supported Edith Stein Research Centre over the years, passed away recently at the age of 102 after a meaningful and hard-working life.
