Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issue of socio-cultural activity of senior citizens in terms of the ongoing demographic changes on the labour market and its importance in the holistic development of the elderly. It also points out some examples of how forms of activating senior citizens function, including universities of the third age and senior activity centres, which have a significant impact on maintaining personal potential.
