Summary/Abstract: The text presents the results of a survey of 85 adult employees working in the service sector, more specifically, in the food service industry. The purpose of this research was to analyse the work environment: selected physical and psychosocial conditions in food service enterprises. The conclusions of the survey show how important it is to raise employers’ and employees’ aware- ness about the impact of working conditions on the quality of life and human existence.
