Summary/Abstract: The scale and intensity of the crises of the last two decades require a specific social behavior to avoid adverse phenomena for societies. The process of overcoming crises is complex and is based on communication between different stakeholders. The role of the media as an intermediary and mediator in this process is essential for an effective exit from the crisis. The article aims to frame the topic of crisis communication in the media by reviewing theoretical research done by researchers such as Ivy Lee, Manuel Castells, MarshallMcLuhan, Ulrich Beck, Junger Habermas, Johan Galtung, Patrick Lagadec, ThierryLibar, Jan Mitroff, Timothy Coombs.
