Summary/Abstract: The roof represents the component thatencloses a construction and serves multipleessential roles. The efficiency of a roofdepends on several key factors. The choice ofroof type, the materials used, the constructionmethod, and following the sequence of stagesare crucial for obtaining a quality roof. Thisensures the safety of the entire structure,enhances its value, and gives it a harmoniousappearance. The main role of the roof is toprotect the construction and to complete itsaesthetic design. Additionally, the roof mustbe functional, ensuring a safe, healthy, andcomfortable indoor environment regardinghumidity, temperature, and air quality. For aroof to fulfill these functions, it is importantthat the design takes into account the climaticconditions and the architectural specifics ofthe area where the construction is located. Inthis article, we will analyze two roof optionsfor the upper ceiling of a residential building.The first option is the high-pitched roof of theframe type, and the second is the nonwalkableterrace roof. The purpose of thisstudy is to compare these two variants anddetermine which one is more efficient fromthe perspective of the loads on the upperfloor.The roof represents the component that encloses a construction and serves multiple essential roles.
