Summary/Abstract: Focusing on the ways in which building density, the availability of green space, and public infrastructure affect inhabitants' well-being, this study investigates the connection between urban form and quality of life. The study uses data from national and international quality of life rankings to show how important it is to look at subjective as well as objective measures of a city's liveability. It recognises the shortcomings of current measures while simultaneously identifying correlations between city planning and quality of life outcomes. The research emphasises the need for a multidisciplinary strategy for city planning that takes into consideration cultural and contextual variations in how people perceive liveability.
