Summary/Abstract: Adolescents’ awareness is usually oriented towards discovering themselves and the world around them. It is important for this orientation to be linked to positive themes and values, the development of a world view, as opposed to building on the experience of trauma with consequent tension, stress, spite, jealousy or rudeness. Teenagers have an immense amount of inner energy that should drive them to improve the world. This is possible when young people trust the world, feel part of the environment and society and see prospects for their own development. Forced to leave their country due to the war, Ukrainian teenagers were suddenly thrust into adulthood. While their childhood had not yet ended, their understanding of the world was rapidly transformed. In the text, we analyse the situation of Ukrainian adolescents in psychological crisis, in the context of the psychological and educational support directed to this group. Using case studies, we outline the challenges faced by Ukrainian and Polish psychologists, teachers and other professionals working with young war migrants from Ukraine.
