Summary/Abstract: The text deals with the issue of the adoption of Ukrainian children who came to Poland after 24 February 2022. In view of the large number of children who came here in groups transferred from Ukrainian institutions and foster families or who were deprived of parental care, many people in Poland were willing to adopt them. However, legal restrictions allow such adoptions only by the Ukrainian authorities and only under certain conditions.
