Summary/Abstract: The process of training people of different ages in today’s society involves new forms, methods, and means, which greatly influence the practice of physical education. The possibilities of the aquatic environment are an active benefit at the level of physical activities and a key contribution to health and leisure, which derives from its special characteristics, acting at the psychomotor, functional, and aesthetic levels. The present study is part of a confirmatory-ameliorative research, carried out on a group of 178 people (87 specialised teaching staff and 91 students from secondary school classes from the institutions: “Nicu Gane” National College Fălticeni, “Mihai Băcescu” Technical College “ Fălticeni, “Vasile Lovinescu” College Fălticeni, High School in Sports Field Suceava, “Mihail Sadoveanu” Secondary School Fălticeni, “Vasile Ciurea” Secondary School Fălticeni, “Ion Irimescu” Secondary School Fălticeni, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Secondary School Fălticeni, Secondary School “Mihail Sadoveanu” Fălticeni, Romania, during 01.03.2023 – 30.04.2023. The methods used in the research included analysis of specialised literature, questionnaire-survey, and mathematical-statistical method. In the present study, we will refer to the main aspects identified and formulated by secondary school students regarding the aqua-fitness methods, the method of implementation, and their importance in their psychomotor and functional development.
