Summary/Abstract: The fundamental feature of today’s world economy is the rapid shift towards globalisation and the use of information and communication technologies. In this context, knowledge policies - research, innovation, education, and training - are of exceptional importance in the transition towards a Europe of knowledge. The new millennium presents education with a multitude of problems and very few solutions, which require specialists to adopt an innovative and optimistic attitude so that the challenges of this period are highlighted in the future rather than the threats posed by problems without solutions. Increasing the intellectual potential of society is the strategic objective of the contemporary era. This is the starting point for the 21st century, which is prioritising the creation of a modern education industry, particularly higher education, which will become an important area of investment because there is no more valuable and advantageous investment than the development of a science, knowledge, and education society.
