Summary/Abstract: People, intentionally or unintentionally, affect cybersecurity. They can contribute to its maintenance and development, but very often they compromise it. Without pretending to be comprehensive, the paper sheds light on the role of people and in particular the employees’ role in ensuring cybersecurity in the organizations and also as a source of threats. Some basic ideas about building and maintaining cybersecurity culture are presented.
