Summary/Abstract: Based on the available literature and new archival sources, the author gives a detailed overview of this event in relation to the UN human rights laws and conventions that Yugoslavia had signed prior to putting down the rebellion. In addition, the author connects these events to the social-political situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first century.
