Summary/Abstract: There is a continuously increasing interest in the social dimensions of the development of the economy and the society. An well known axiom is that in the center of the society is the man, whose development is a condition and a result of the economic growth, institutional and economic change. The article justifies the correlation between the economic efficiency and the social justice through the implementation of a system of integrated indicators of the human development. Comparisons for indicators at the national, regional and global level are applied.
