Summary/Abstract: PL: Esej jest propozycją cyklu literacko-artystycznego oscylującego wokół tematyki rowerowej; próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie dotyczące tego, jak rower i jego części funkcjonują w kulturze słowa, obrazu i techniki, jak wpływają na jednostkę i społeczeństwo. Ów cykl nie jest zamknięty, można go rozszerzać i zmieniać. Autorka poddaje analizie wybrane wiersze – Kolarzy Ewy Lipskiej, Dedykowane rowerowi Zbigniewa Herberta Williama Stanleya Merwina, Wiersz Adama Wiedemanna, obrazy i ilustracje Salvadora Dalego i Natalii Pastuszenki oraz przykłady Bike Artu. Rower generuje korespondencję sztuk, która wpływa na niejednolity obraz świata i człowieka. Pojazd ten wykracza poza użyteczność materialną, staje się nową wartością rozpatrywaną na płaszczyźnie metafizycznej, a także politycznej. EN: The essay analyses a series of literary and artistic works revolving around the theme of cycling; in doing so, it attempts to answer the question of how the bicycle and its parts function in the culture of speech, images and technology, and how they affect the individual and society. This series is not a closed list; it can expand and change. The author analyzes selected poems – Ewa Lipska’s “Cyclists”, William Stanley Merwin’s “Bicycle Dedicated to Zbigniew Herbert”, Adam Wiedemann’s “Poem”, the paintings and illustrations of Salvador Dalí and Natalia Pastuszenko, and examples of Bike Art. The bicycle generates a correspondence with art, which yields a heterogeneous image of the world and man. This vehicle goes beyond material utility, becoming a new value to be considered in terms of its metaphysical as well as political dimensions.
