Integration into structures established after the Second World War in our neighbourhood became a real alternative for further social-political direction of Slovakia. Foreign policy calls the tune in establishing contacts with the developed world. Co-operation with the European Union became one of the most important foreign and home policy challenges of the beginning of this century, and definitely will determine development of our country for decades. Let me in short run through the way Slovakia has gone on its route towards the European Union membership during last years.
