Summary/Abstract: The article presents the issues of functioning at schoolchildren living in single-parent families. Two aspects of the functioning - the participation in class and school life, and dealing with school education were analyzed. It is an attempt to answer the question, what kind of problems and success in this area children have. The attention was paid to areas requiring support for single-parent families to allow children the best possible development and proper functioning in the school environment.
