Summary/Abstract: The article concentrates on housing problems in Russia and states that housing shortage is one of the most important parts of socio-economical lag of the country. Innovative changes in construction sphere will force to construct of sufficient number of housing. In order to increase housing affordability, we advise mortgage housing credit development and establishing of mortgage-related securities market.
