Summary/Abstract: Contracts under the Bulgarian Water Act, concluded in most cases in 2016 between Associations of WSS and utility operators, have some similarities with a service concession contracts. However, they are governed by the special provisions of this Act. The report analyzes the nature and characteristics of these contracts and how they differ from concessions.
