Summary/Abstract: Effective waste management, and in particular of municipal waste, requires the implementation of regional cooperation of municipalities in this direction. The definition of cooperation regions and the formation of regional associations of municipalities are regulated by the framework Law on waste management. The advantages and disadvantages of this cooperation are directly related to the adequate analysis, refinement and optimization of the regulatory framework.
