Summary/Abstract: The clarification of the concept of family and related concepts of parental rights and obligations is based on an analysis of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. In this respect, current and discussion issues of parental rights and obligations according to the ECHR practice under Article 8 of the ECHR are discussed. Special attention has been paid to the judgments handed down by the Court in cases against the Republic of Bulgaria.
