Summary/Abstract: In the cyber era, when cybercrime is omnipresent and increasingly difficult to detect, it is mandatory for any institution that safety systems be designed in such a way that the risks be minimal. In general, most cyber attacks are discovered long after they have been made, when counteraction is no longer relevant, and in most cases, it all comes down to a few conclusions and an analysis of the impact on the systems targeted by that attack. Cyberspace is not just technology. Education, human capital, investments, etc. are a few important pillars in developing cyber security and limiting the threats and vulnerabilities of an institution. Being aware of the most important cyber threats and vulnerabilities, we can identify some countermeasures that can minimize our risks.
