Summary/Abstract: Gender Intelligence is an understanding of and appreciation for the naturally occurring characteristics that distinguish men and women beyond their biological and cultural differences, to include attitudinal and behavioral differences. For this reason, organizations that practice Gender Intelligence have a true culture of inclusiveness and manage better in addressing stereotypes related to their field of activity. Regarding security and defense, which is known to be a male dominated sector, the idea of using gender perspective as a strategy to secure and retain the best talent, in order to make better strategic decisions and with a maximum operational efficiency, brings out front a series of specific stereotypes that place men and women in opposite postures. Furthermore, Gender Intelligence works as a beacon for talented professionals, whose value of efforts transcends ones biologically determined characteristics, and instills a culture that favors differentthinking, all with the purpose of creating a perfect blend of men and women capable of creating a long term strategic and competitive advantage in terms of security and defense.
