Summary/Abstract: The eternal doubt, why car loan and not leasing and vice versa? A question we will try to answer. Not so long ago, banks offered only car loans, however, in order to have an overall offer, most banks added leasing to their product range. It was also unthinkable to buy a used vehicle, used agricultural machinery or equipment through leasing, now it is available and increasingly popular. It remains to be seen how a car loan will withstand such an attack as a banking product in the future. The paper will present auto loans to natural persons for the purchase of new and used cars from legal and natural persons. The selection of the banks included in our analysis was guided by the example that, in addition to the offer of auto loans, the banks also own a leasing offer in Serbia.
