Summary/Abstract: The weight of grammar education and grammar research in Japanese language education is lower than before but the importance of them has not declined. This paper proposes a new concept, Grammatical literacy and shows new ways of teaching two grammatical items : Conditional Expressions and Giving-Receiving Expressions in Japanese.
