Summary/Abstract: This article is on Japanese language and culture education program for engineers as a part of JTRE Project. JTRE Project is a five years (2015-2019) Project promoted by JSPS (Japan Society for Promotion of Science) for support young researchers to develop cooperation between Turkish and Japanese engineers on energy and urban systems. Although it is an engineering based Project, to promote mutual understanding and support cross-cultural communication between Japanese and Turkish engineers, a one day language and culture (in this article we will write about Japanese language and culture seminar) seminars are designed for participants. And also to define basic words and basic grammatical structures which are used frequently in the field of engineering a corpus study is taking place in the project. This project, while giving a new approach to young engineers in their major field, it also gives approach of new cultural backgrounds and combines field of engineering and linguistics. From this point we can say that it is an original and leading project.
