Summary/Abstract: The company’s founders are Massud Faqiri and his brother Farhad Faqiri. The two brothers founded the company in 2015. Massud is based in the Netherlands whereas Farhad is based in Los Angeles. Sweet Amsterdam is a Stroopwafel company aiming to change the world’s snacking habits by introducing a new generation of guilt-free snacks for on the go! A Stroopwafel is a famous European cookie that is soft and chewy on the inside with a thin waffle layer on the outside. Farhad summarizes the activities of the company in a clear sentence: “We put a heavy focus on mindful snacking by offering organic, gluten free, dairy free and even vegan variants. In fact our Stroopwafels are as tasty as candy bars but with sugar and calories as low as health bars. We also prove that you can have better-for-you ingredients without compromising on flavor.”
