Summary/Abstract: The article discusses documentation created during the cadastral measurements carried out in Galicia, which form the basis for calculating the amount of land tax. The title issue is presented using the example of a Josephian cadastre established in the 1780s and a Franciscan cadastre from the second decade of the 19th century. For this purpose, documents included in cadastral registers were thoroughly analyzed and their usefulness for historical research was discussed. A separate problem that has been addressed in the article concerns the method of preparing source publications presenting mass tax documentation.
