Summary/Abstract: This article contains an analysis and interpretation of a way how a narration is composed in Plato’s Cratylos. The main emphasis is put both on the personality of Socrates’ interlocutors and on their role in dramatic action – especially; on Socrates’ use of irony and on how he manipulates his interlocutors by leading a particular game of appearances as well as discrediting common; false opinions on the theme and its authorities.
