Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the experimental search and analysis engine Odkrywka, a project run by researchers from the Institute of Linguistics and the Laboratory of Information Systems at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. The origin of the project and its current status is presented, and it is compared and contracted with Google and Google Books search engines. Odkrywka makes it possible to combine diachronic data extracted automatically with manual work of a lexicographer.
