Summary/Abstract: Referring to the philosophy of I. Kant, the author analyses the idea of experience as a cognitive situation where some beliefs are changed under the influence of the events in the outer or the inner environment. At the same time he attempts to show that human experience – related to the openness, the innovation and the conceptual variability – exceeds Kant’s conceptual framework. Two types of experience are also depicted – an aesthetic one and a philosophical one – that show the limits of human concepts and in this sense make the essence of experience as such the subject of experiencing.
