Summary/Abstract: Starting point for the article is the category of neutrum used by R. Barthes in his polemics with the semiological assumptions revealing games, in which the language participates as power and force. Neutrum is a desire to refuse fighting; it is “suspension” and neutralization of the conflict, avoiding the paradigm that forces to choose between “something” and “something different”. As a result the meaning is “liberated” by creating a “polymorphic area”, where there is no place for the direct conflict between the binary oppositions.
