Summary/Abstract: For years; the space of Italy has been an inspiration for the literary imagination of Polish travelling artists. In this article I would like to choose the spaces that Poles treat as Italian provinces and analyze how they are created in literature and how these descriptions reflect the cultural truth about these areas. First of all; one can notice differences in the way Apulian and Bari spaces are described as the capital of the province and Apulia region in the works of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and Dariusz Czaja.
