Summary/Abstract: The articles discusses the activities of Józef Jasnowski (1906–2009), a historian, a graduate of the Faculty of Humanities at Warsaw University, a student of Wanda Moszczeńska and Oskar Halecki, a source publisher, a Polish Reformation scholar, an education organiser in Great Britain and a lecturer at universities abroad. Jasnowski was a lecturer at the Polish University Abroad and the Polish School of Political and Social Sciences in London; he took part in Congresses of Polish Culture Abroad (1970, 1985, 1995) and edited the works of the Third Congress in 1995. The article discusses his activity in the Polish Historical Society in Great Britain and his collaboration with Oskar Halecki. It also presents his main publications and emphasises the need for further research on Jasnowski’s works.
