Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of the activities of two women involved in promotion and practice of manifestations of intangible cultural heritage in Sławsk Wielki (Kuyavian- Pomeranian Voivodeship) and Przyprostynia (Greater Poland Voivodeship). I draw attention to the commemorating nature of activities for the protection of intangible cultural heritage. On the example of Maria Patyk from Sławsk Wielki and Antonina Woźna from Przyprostynia, I analyze the relationship between cultural heritage and places of memory.
