Summary/Abstract: The author discusses the institutional position of the Constitutional Tribunal, its competences as delineated by the Constitution, as well as the changes introduced by the Act of June 25th, 2016 on the Constitutional Tribunal and its two amendments. Moreover, the article presents the rulings of the Constitutional Tribunal regarding the aforementioned act and its amendments, as well as the opinion of the Venice Commission, an advisory body of the Council of Europe.
