Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was the analysis of a fairy tale from the cycle of sagas and fairy tales from Berlin entitled "Das Märchen von der Prinzessin, die das Hungern lernen wollte". The story concerns the reckless game of Princess Charlotte with her fate. An examination of the empirical material revealed that the protagonist was exposed to a learning process on her courageous journey, from which she learned an important lesson. The theme of the fairy tale can therefore have a meaning for the real life of the reader, which consists in the universal educational role.
