Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to present the results of studies on a fairy-tale drama based on the repertoire of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw. The author tries to describe the development of the genre and the typology of its forms, and to compare its structural features in order to present the tradition of the poetics of a fairy-tale drama at the Polish National Opera.
