Summary/Abstract: This essay shows the literary references to fairy-tale motifs in the work of the Austrian writer Clemens Setz. The references reflect the programmatic aspects of the author. That is, among other things, the portrayal of the inhumanity of society and the literary concept of portraying the abnormal as normal. Setz also makes a reference to the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale, which is analysed in the article.
