Summary/Abstract: North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is an international organization1 providing security for its members. NATO is an intergovernmental organization in which each member country maintains its sovereignty. All NATO decisions are taken jointly based on the agreement of each member country. Its members are states parties to the founding NATO Treaty. It was founded after the Second World War in 1949 and has been the most influential security organization all over the world.
