Summary/Abstract: At first glance, the professional media design for children is a creative activity similar to other design practices. However, a more in-depth analysis shows that it isa complex and responsible task, because the child perceives the presented information with the untainted senses of it’s little life experience. The children‘s media design carries important messages, evoking thoughts, emotions and forms attitudes. The purposeful activity of the designer, in his role of author of the material world of the child, is based not only on good professional training, but also on in-depth knowledge in the field of pedagogy, psychology, ergonomics, etc. The article presents some specific features of design, from the point of view of professional practice.
