Summary/Abstract: The Association Agreement undoubtedly marks a higher level in the bilateral relations between our country and the European Union. This will grant Moldovan products a larger access towards the EU market and will involve a large-scale modernization process of state institutions and, lastly, will contribute to improving the population’s welfare. One of the main provisions of the Agreement is to create the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the EU, which entails removing barriers for bilateral trade from both sides. In this analytical note, we will analyze how DCFTA provisions will contribute to unlocking Moldova’s exports and we will bust some of the myths related to this subject.
