Summary/Abstract: On January 1, 2006, the Open Society Fund established a mechanism for monitoring the process of Europeanization of the social, political, economic and legal space of Serbia in order to bring Serbia closer to the European Union. The process of "Europeanization" means the process of integrating European values, standards and norms into domestic public policies, legal norms and behavior, as well as negotiation processes with the aim of concluding an agreement between Serbia and the EU that will formalize mutual relations, starting with the conclusion of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, until Serbia's membership in the EU. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Open Society Fund and expert non-governmental organizations and individual experts. The monitoring process will last until December 31, 2008.
