Summary/Abstract: The Czech Republic will once again hold the presidency of the European Union next year after thirteen years. For the second time, it will also form a team presidency with France and Sweden, the political framework of which will be anchored in a joint eighteen-month programme. The aim of the group presidency is primarily to ensure continuity of the activities of the Council of the EU, to avoid fragmentation of its activities and to ensure continuity of decision-making processes.
